We recently had Project Runway Season 8 Finalist, Christopher Collins, in our Sudbury store to showcase his Fall 2011 Collection. Christopher Collins is a contemporary women's clothing designer from San Francisco. His fashion forward, ready to wear pieces are made with intricate care and detail to design. His collection demonstrates luxurious, feminine pieces made with the finest fabrics from Italy, France and Japan. With over ten years of design experience, his collections exemplify raw talent and vision.

Save the date! On Thursday, September 22, Project Runway Season 8 Finalist Christopher Collins will be in our Sudbury store showcasing his Fall 2011 Collection. Come and meet him from 1-4pm and he'll glam up your wardrobe with his fashion forward pieces. NY Stylist, Peter Berta, will be in the store until 8pm. We'll have informal modeling and lots of excitement!

We are in love with Linea Pella bags for this fall! Linea Pelle is a company based out of Los Angeles with international recognition. Their accessories are absolutely amazing, ranging from purses to small leather goods to belts. They are known for their handcrafted washed leather, giving their products an amazingly soft feel and vintage vibe. We have several different styles of bags in the store now and they are selling quickly! The bags are perfect for everyday use and the beautiful hardware provides an easy transition into night. Linea Pelle bags have a strong celebrity following...Jessica Simpson, Lauren Conrad and Katherine Heigl all use them! Several of our employees now own the bags and use them every day. If you get it dirty you can just wash it with soap and water and it's good as new! Come see them in one of our three store locations, Sudbury, Weston and Osterville, you'll fall in love with them too!

Summer Party

Yesterday Wendy threw our company summer party in Osterville, MA. We had perfect weather for our clambake! All of the employees came down to the Cape for the day to get together, eat some lobsters and sip on sangria and margaritas! Wendy did an amazing job...she is quite the cook! Our meal was amazing...clam chowder, mussels and lobsters! After our seafood feast we got to try all of her homemade desserts. There were so many different flavors of cupcakes...red velvet, carrot cake, chocolate mint, and even coconut! Wendy even had an awards ceremony where everyone got a trophy and special award title! We all had a great time at the party and can't wait for next year!

Fading from Summer Into Fall...

Although it's been a beautiful, warm no, make that HOT summer, in the fashion world we prep for the next season early. Expect to see lots of fall pieces in stunning colors arriving at the store during August. We've already started getting in light cashmere pieces and cardigans that will keep you warm in the super chilly air conditioned stores and restaurants. And wait until you see the colors! We recently received a shipment of crisp burgundies, olive greens, and refreshing navy Michael Stars tanks and tops. You'll also be so pleased with our pre-fall Ella Moss pieces. From sleeveless tanks to dresses in a pretty flowery print, the collection is perfect for end of summer right into fall. Grab a buttery soft White & Warren cashmere travel wrap to drape yourself in as it gets cooler.

New merchandise has arrived!

This morning, we received a shipment of beautiful Johnny Was tops. We have both short sleeve and long sleeved styles, perfect for summer and all of fall. These tops are decorated with detailed stitching and the fabrics are incredible. My favorite is a long sleeved tunic top in a gorgeous tan color. Wear this now with jean shorts and when it gets cool put it on with a pair of our David Kahn Jeans and a Lovequotes scarf. All of these tops would even be great paired with a low slung belt, I put it with a Simply Beads turquoise and tan belt shown below.

We also just got in a shipment of G1 shorts, capris and skirts in beautiful colors including light blue, khaki, greenand even a distressed baked red. These shorts have been flying out of the store! They are the perfect staple for all of your summer outfits, wear them during the day with a pair of our Michael Stars flip flops and a tee and even wear them out at night with a cute pair of espadrilles or wedges. Come in and try on a pair soon, they fit so great you’ll want them in every color!

Be sure to check out our new outfit of the week featuring G1 shorts on our website. This week, we decided to go with a casual look and pair the baked red long shorts with an Ella Moss army green tunic top-perfect for everyday around town or in the city! To accessorize this outfit, try our Michael Stars square scarf that has army green and baked red in it, or even put on a Leather Rock belt with it! For a day at the beach, our fashionable Michael Stars wide brimmed hat and straw bag are perfect.

Now that Memorial Day has officially introduced summer, crisp colorful summer styles are arriving daily in the store. In addition to the cute cropped pants and bermuda shorts we already are featuring great designers like Christopher Blue and Son of John. Come in and scoop up the coveted G1 summer styles. We are also adding tops and skirts on our sales floor from Monrow, XCVI, Three Dot, and many more!

If you want a pair of sexy jeans to wear with your crisp white summer shirt, check our denim rack. New to our store are premium denim jeans from designer David Kahn. The David Kahn line entered the fashion world in 1999 and now has a worldwide presence. Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, and Jaime Presley are just a few actresses that have been spotted wearing these fashionable jeans. You will love them as well, particularly the straight leg with it's unique gold stitching.

Many of you also enjoy looking at our unique jewelry. A recent shipment of the beautiful Swarovski pieces from Firefly created quite a buzz of excitement among our customers. The colorful pieces go perfectly with all of your summer looks, from T-shirts to dressy evenings out.

Opening In A Grand Fashion

After 15 years of wonderful business on the tiny peninsula of Cape Cod, I decided the time had come for me to broaden my fashion horizons and expand the Wendy Wheeler brand "off cape".

But where to go? What to do? They say to be careful what you wish for because opportunity came knocking and I opened the door.

It is with much pride and pleasure that I announce the newest addition to the Wendy Wheeler family.

Things have been quite busy in Weston, as we recently had a professional photo shoot in the store for our web page, so that the Wendy Wheeler "look" would be just a click away. I had two of my wonderful high school girlfriend's to do the modeling, and we had a great time creating the photos.

Candy expertly applied the make-up.
And Garry styled the store and the ladies to perfection.

Aaaah, springtime on Cape Cod... wait, isn't that an oxymoron? Spring on the Cape really doesn't exist. While the rest of the state is finally experiencing some warmer weather we Cape Codders are still donning thick jackets... with the occasional spring piece mixed underneath.

The saving grace this time of year is the boxes and boxes of new and exciting pieces that arrive in the store just in time for the summer rush. Flirty sundresses, vibrant halter tops, the most adorable jeweled flop flops (who needs high heels this summer?) - all are perfect little reminders that warmer weather is just around the corner.

We have just received the latest in chic preppy from CK Bradley and Cape Madras as well as smart casual from Debra DeRoo and Jamie Kreitman. Summer T's and jersey galore are on their way too from Michael Stars, Three Dots and Ella Moss. And while, it will certainly get warmer on the Cape, we have the perfect cashmere sweaters from Two Bee's Cashmere with adorable seaside motifs.
